COLOUR AND DETAIL was produced and mixed by Chris Stringer (The Wooden Sky, Ohbijou, Timber Timbre).

Drums, bass and guitars were recorded by John Dinsmore at Lincoln County Social Club (Donovan Woods, Strumbellas). Vocals, violin, cello and more guitars were recorded by Luke Nares at Collision Studios.

Colour and Detail was mastered by Jeff Elliott (fedge.ca) at Union Sound Company in Toronto.

LYRICS

I saw a garden in black and white and you said “what’s the point?”
But I’d sketch it out if you use your paints.
Add your colour to the details; drawing out what we’re going to make.
But my blue isn’t your blue, it’s a tiny ocean from me to you.
And your green isn’t my pride but our red is the fact of life.
Like parents and their children, a generation is no separation,
You got to cut it out. Cut it out and put the pieces in a frame.

Then I dreamt that I was new and I grew up outside the lines.

You gotta draw yourself from different views, showing every side of you.
So when they’re crying out, don’t you let ‘em drown.
But your world isn’t like mine; you’ve got a lot more new, free designs.
